A CyberPower CP1500AVRLCD 1500VA 900W AVR UPS runs my cable modem, master and slave routers, Efergy hubs and 10-port USB power-er, and hot water heater (Whirlpool 50T12-40DNG has a tiny 5 W fan). It will run for many hours, given its light electronic load... won't help doomsday, but lets me glide right over all the little power outages we have (grr, Georgia Power!). The UPS display is showing 27 W usage (.027 kW).

First Alert CO615 there just in case (the hot water heater and lower HVAC are off to left). Also note, not one but two Aeon Labs DSC06106 Smart Energy Switches. The first one is obvious; it's what the UPS (and everything on it) plugs into. The second one is tucked up under the UPS shelf and leads to the hot water heater (only). In this way, I monitor my hot water heater on-time (gas) usage without ever needing any sort of gas monitor.

Tons of crap around otherwise, including a failed Efergy transmitter kindly Efergy USA rep Peter Thomas replaced when I told him how it had crapped out. (In the Efergy 3 picture, notice the newer white A1B which replaced it.)
